ABOUT AMY
Yoga Arts
After practicing for 10 years I enrolled in my first yoga teacher training at The White Lotus Foundation with Tracey Rich and Ganga White in Santa Barbara, California. Wanting more after volunteering at my church and a senior living center, I pursued a 500 hr training at Cloud Nine Yoga in Huntington Beach, California with Erika Faith-Calig. In 2012 I trained with Shiva Rea for three years in the Prana Flow system and with Demetri Velisarius in Prana Danda Yoga. In addition to Yoga I apply my background in both biology and Pilates/Dance Conditioning to my teaching. In 2018, I took on a role at California State University, Kinesiology Department as a professor, teaching Beginning Hatha Yoga. While in this role, I have pursued and will soon complete a M.S. in Kinesiology studying the effects of yoga in the college student population.

Vibration is the energy of soul expression. When we vocalize we are striking the drum of the heart. Intoning through singing and chanting is a sustained vibration that has the potential to affect consciousness. Sacred vibrations lift and enliven the spirit.
